17.1.2012 Chair + first day back We opened my centre for the year today. Fun day, little busy actually. I still love my job a whole hell of a lot.  Celebrated by making an office chair, then celebrated that by making another.

21.12.2011 An empty room This implies many things, including that we’re closed now after a fantastic Christmas party, that earlier this room and another were full of people laughing and talking and being kind (mostly), that finally, at 4pm I finished cleaning from lunch and could go home, and that I’m now on holidays for almost four weeks. Oh yes, oh yes and OH YES. In short, while I had a wonderful day- really, really wonderful actually, despite a lunch that fed around 60- this was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen.

21.9.2011 The Bird This guy that comes in to my work found a wee little baby bird a while back. He picked it up and looked after it and brought it to the Olive Way with him and it would sit, all sullen and bedraggled and baldy, under a bookshelf or in his pocket, looking unwell and squawking noxiously. Now the bird is large and fully feathered and its colours are amazing and he flies from person to person being friendly. He may be a health hazard… but we love him.

20.9.2011 Beth, so intent. This little lady has the desk next to mine. I spent a goodly portion of time today laughing/singing/chatting/ogling Chris Martin + angorra rabbits with her as we both endeavoured to “do some work”. We *did* endeavour. Promise. She is very a lot of fun to work with.

25.8.2011 This is what it’s all about Here is the little drop in centre I run. Today it was packed and humming with this wonderful energy and conversation and people were all engaging one another and laughing and smiling and the staff nearly had nothing to do because it was so lovely.

11.8.2011 Crafternoon Third Ladies crafternoon at Olive Way today. We made collages and put them in frames. It was nearly too much fun for me.  I’m so easily pleased I nearly envy myself.
