Optional Extra: A walk through Norwood on a Summers night We’ve dropped in on our mate Cath and are meandering serenely back to Caz’s, it’s near midnight and the day has finally eased into a mellow, breezy calm, and the first time I’ve comfortably been outside for two days. We laugh loudly, forgetting the time. I take off my shoes as we traverse the Osmond Terrace island, feeling each step spring pleasantly on the thick green.  We walk through the statue, a series of metallic rings of differing sizes, realising as we get close that each is lit up with people’s stories. They are sweet and short and lovely and I feel a warmth for my city as we walk the streets while the wind is soft and the sidewalks don’t matter.
