18.7.2011 The realisation of a dream.
This has been what my soul has been longing for all my life. I sit in a cafe, with my friend Joss and I look at the menu. As is my custom, I wail and moan about not knowing what to order. I am always torn between my desire to just once get the muesli, my love of yummy sweet things and my knowledge that I cannot betray the savoury menu options by choosing anything else. Oh, the humanity.
And then. Joss, feeling my pain (and probably his as well by now) asks for a recommendation from the waitress. She hums and has for a moment and then … “that taste platter is pretty good”.
THE. BREAKFAST. TASTE. PLATTER. This means I can have all three of the things I always want! I am no longer the slave to indecision! Glory!!
One glass of delicious muesli, half serve of wonderful eggs benedict and three wee little tiles of waffle with lovely fruity sauce and crumbly toffee later, I am replete and full. The happiest bruncher in Adelaide, if not the nation.
Seriously. This is the greatest breakfast idea ever. And if you’re ever in Adelaide, hit up Cianti’s on Hutt St. Worth it and more.
