I don’t want to be that person, that “the small person that is somehow a part of my life is so much more kick ass than any of the small people you’ve ever come across” person, but-

He’s so fucking rad it’s not even possible.

First day of 2012 featured my marvellous nephew, his excellent parents and me and my mum all attempting to cool off in the IDIOTICALLY HOT WEATHER by being in some way involved in the kiddy pool at once. Worked for a little while.

because I had gastro and forgot my phone and we buried my Grandma and I saw my lovely family and my cousin Mel said to take a photo of a doorknob.
25.9.2011 Cousins
My extended family haven’t seen each other for years, some of us for lots and lots of them. We all came together to my Uncle Albie’s house to mourn, to laugh and to remind ourselves of who Grandma was and what family means.
For us, the cousins, first grouped outside in the sun, then dripping into the shed as the cider and the wine kept flowing, it was a discovery. These people that we didn’t know, or that we half remembered, were people we were missing out on. And we don’t want to do any more of that, because life is short and we are all excellent. Who knew.
Just, such a fun afternoon/evening. SO much alcohol.
