Newly completed mural thingo near Kmart Barkley Square. Colours on what would otherwise be monotonous and beige-ish walls are a fantastic thing.

09.3.2012 Improbable Magnolia!
So on wandering down De Carle st, after casting my eyes in the direction of my fave magnolia tree (locally, anyway) out of habit despite its not being magnolia season in the slightest, I saw a flash of colour.
Surely not, I said.
I crept sceptically across to said tree.
There, mostly buried among the overbearing leaves I saw it: one impossible flower, a little worse for wear and waiting for me.
So enormously happy with that.
19.2.2012 Prettiest, most perfectly formed and pleasant smelling rose I’ve seen for some time.

I love finding more of the colourful and sweet bits that make up Brunswick.

It was slightly overcast and cold (er) today so I went overboard and ordered hot porridge for breakfast. Oh my word I love porridge. I can’t wait till Winter when I can eat it all the time. For every meal. And snacks.
